Kismet is a romantic musical set in a stylized version of ancient Baghdad, following a clever beggar-poet whose wit and poetic skill lead him into unexpected fortune, love, and political intrigue. It features music adapted from the works of Russian composer Alexander Borodin, with lyrics and book by Robert Wright and George Forrest.
