The New Moon is a romantic operetta set in colonial New Orleans and the French Caribbean, following a French aristocrat who becomes a revolutionary sailor and falls in love with a governor’s daughter while disguised as a commoner. It features music by Sigmund Romberg and lyrics/book by Oscar Hammerstein II and Laurence Schwab.
